Alternative Camping Activities

Alternative camping activities – If you have been on the road and engaged in your own camping activities for some days or weeks it is sometimes great just to be able to enjoy a local experience and take a tour. Yes, I know it all sounds rather mundane and perhaps it is the very thing you are trying to avoid! However local operators can often provide additional insight into the area and take you places you mightn’t ordinarily have access to.

I neglected to write up the Broome experience some years back. The flight out to Horizontal Falls for the day was something else! The pilot of the seaplane as we flew over the Buccaneer Archipelago provided a running commentary and the views are spectacular. Seeing the water cascading through the falls and the power boat ride through the narrow gap is exhilarating.

Granted these trips can be on the expensive side, but not all are and at least you don’t have to organise alternative camping activities. Some of the following tours we have taken were absolutely wonderful… some not so good.
